Feast of Community: November 14 12-5PM
We encourage all of our students to participate in our Fall Community Serve Event, Feast of Community! We will be distributing Thanksgiving Meal Kits for those in need in our community. This will be a 'drive-thru' style event for the community. If you'd like to donate a meal kit, please purchase the items below, and bring to to Journey by Tuesday, November 10th.

Items for meal kit donation (as a whole):
Canned Corn 14.5oz (2x)
Canned Yams 29oz (1x)
Canned Jellied Cranberry 14oz (1x)
Canned Green Beans 14.5oz (1x)
Dry stuffing box 6oz (1x)
Cornbread mix bag 6-7oz (1x)
Instant Mashed potatoes box 13.75oz (1x)
Gravy Packet .87oz (2x)
Brownie Mix (to fit 13x9 pan) (1x)
Apple/Cranberry Juice (64oz)
Please pack all items in Banker’s Box with lid.
• Drop off non-perishable meal kits to church office Monday-Thursday between 9AM-3PM no later than Tuesday, November 10.
• Monetary donations will be accepted during same time frame and dates. Make any checks out to Journey Fellowship with note: Feast of Community.
• All monetary donations will go towards meal kits.

Important Info & Details
What is F.O.C.?
Feast of Community is a student ministry lead event that will provide a Thanksgiving meal to community families in need. They will receive a Thanksgiving meal kit that includes the average Thanksgiving (non-perishable) items along with a fully cooked, frozen ham. No registration is required to receive a meal kit. Pick up hours will be 12PM-5PM the day of. This will be a “drive-thru” style event. As folks drive in to receive a meal kit they will be directed to stay in their vehicles and drive up to distribution area. We will have drive-thru areas set up for meal-kit distribution and prayer. We will also have teams that will deliver kits to pre-determined areas in our community that will be organized through our student ministry team.
Can I donate a meal kit?
YES! We are asking our church family to help with the donation of a meal kit. Please stick to the above list of items only. The church will be covering the frozen hams and we encourage our church family to help with non-perishable meal kit donations. Each kit is below $30. Please keep to the list above when donating and have them separated into whole kits when dropped off. We will also accept monetary donations to go towards additional meal kits. Please make note on monetary donation “Feast of Community”. Checks can be made out to Journey Fellowship.
Where can I drop off my donation?
All donations can be dropped off at the church offices Monday-Thursday between 9AM-3PM. Please drop off all non-perishable meal kits and/or monetary donations no later than Tuesday, November 10.
Can I volunteer for this event?
We are asking any 7th-12th grade student to help volunteer on the date of the event. We have very limited space for any volunteer outside of the student ministry; however, if you are interested please contact our student pastor, Sonny M @ Sonny@myjf.church.
When and where is the event?
Saturday, November 14, 2020 on the Journey Fellowship property, 12pm-5pm.
What will my student be doing?
All students will volunteer in one of the following areas.
• Meet/Greet: Greeting and welcoming the community as they come in (signs/directions)
• Meal Kit distribution: Greet and supply family with meal kit.
• Prayer: A prayer station will be set up for students to pray with families.
• Delivery: We will have multiple teams heading out into the community to designated locations to deliver meal kits.
• *All areas will require a mask and will be equipped with sanitizing stations.
What will be the drop off and pick up times for my student?
Please have your student to the church by 10:30AM. Pick up at 8PM (gathering celebration for the students until 8PM).
How is this event being advertised?
Journey Fellowship will be advertising the F.O.C. event on our social media pages, website as well as our student ministry venues of social media. We also have flyers made up that will be passed out to our community. These flyers will be available to our church family to help distribute and/or pass along to any family that may be in need of this blessing. Flyers will be located at all Sunday church entrances and will also be available for pick up during the week at our church office during normal business hours.
