We love Jesus and Our Community
We are a church located in Selma, TX that has been serving the community since 2005, when we started out in the old Blue Bonnet Palace Country Dance Hall. From the very beginning, our goal has been to pour into our community and create a welcoming atmosphere, where everyone is free to worship Jesus.
The Mission
To inspire and equip God’s people to be more like Christ, so they are growing, full of His love, and doing His work.
Every week we challenge our members to:
1. Gather Hebrews 10:12
Every week we gather together on Sunday for corporate worship (which just means worshipping as a group.) Through praise and worship, weekly communion, the message from one of our pastors, and prayer, we can continually seek God.
2. Grow Matthew 18:20, Ephesians 4:15
Whether in weekly classes or in a community group, we are to build each other up in encouragement. Jesus said where two or more are gather, He is there. So we believe we must do life together.
3. Give 1 Peter 4:10, Malachi 4:10
God has given us so much, and it is our duty to give back our time, talent, and treasure to the work God is doing at Journey and in our community.
4. Go! Matthew 28:19
We are all tasked to love others and reflect the love of God in all we do. Through our mission work in Haiti and Reynosa, we make disciples globally, but we believe, mission work is JUST as important right here in our city. We can make disciples where we live, work, and play.

We are a church full of flawed, broken people, but because of Jesus we are made whole. We believe in loving everyone that comes through our doors, no matter their circumstance or history.
4. Relational
Everyone matters in God's eyes. When you walk into Journey, we want you to feel right at home. We're here whether you need prayer or just a friendly face.
5. Transformational
We are changed the longer we follow His words. Through the acceptance of God, salvation, and being transformed to live a life like Christ.
